well, devops can be a bitch alright but it's mostly notions like monitoring, backup, deployment, high availability, all that shit
it's not unlike object-oriented concepts, agile methods, mvc architecture, that shit
the only different stuff is what you use to make that happen
like you can deploy stuff using terraform, monitor stuff with zabbix, backup with tsm, etc
same as you folks can use scrum/xp/kanban, program in java/python/etc, use those fancy frameworks like spring, hibernate, etc
just a matter of perspective lol, your work is as complicated as mine
