It's also not only because of religion, although that's a big part of it. Being Jewish is also ethnic/racial. I don't miss what I've never experienced (having a foreskin), and get a tremendous amount of satisfaction from sex anyway. It's part of being chosen. Since I am happy to be a Jew, I wouldn't change anything.
At what point do you question it? Well, that's up to the individual. But as far as stopping? Never. We will keep doing it as long as we exist as a distinct people.
With regard to FGM, I don't think it's even in the Quran. It's not universal to Muslims, and it seems much more damaging.
Of course I can understand not wanting to be circumcised, if it were just for questionable medical reasons I doubt I'd be happy about it.
