Since the comics are being distorted to the complete opposite type of message than that intended by Lainey, the fact that they are transformative is the issue.
But as I said, in there's no viable case since who would Lainey even sue if she wanted to? 4chan for hosting the comics? They are not liable for the messages posted here. The individual who posted them or even created them? Again good luck finding out who that is and being able to prove that they did, even if she did all that, the person would likely be unable to pay her any damages, and even if the judge ordered all the copies of the work to be removed you cannot realistically accomplish that. So it's just a complete non-starter from a practical standpoint.
