I suggest you play it if you want to play if you want to play as the Empire of Man instead of just some small units for once and don't mind the jank that comes with it
It is also different because it comes with a historic start and the entire WH40k galaxy instead of random maps and 1 system like stellaris usually does
but there are dozens of different mods that play more like vanilla
