>>15075770you can't be this stupid can you? the LNG market has a production cap and the transportation of LNG has a finite number of ships. if you choose not to buy russian LNG via pipes, you have to import via ships. so if you buy it through ships, you are effectively preventing someone else from purchasing it through the same ship and source. this drives up the cost of LNG because russia cannot suddenly sell their piped LNG to someone else. this causes the price of LNG to rise. the overall production of LNG extracted and shipped will fall while the consumption of it remains the same.
