Yes. So I believe you have salary like 10+ times bigger than mine but pay only just about 2 times more per liter of gasoline. And notice with Trump you paid like 2$ per gal or even less in some regions and that is much cheaper than it was here in Russia. Gasoline here costs 40-50 RUB per liter for many years.
So I can't understand your complaints.

For us here in Sweden it's getting close with over $8/gallon. More and more people are choosing public transport/bicycle/electric scooters instead.
It's gone so far that any new fossil fuel powered car will be banned from Swedish markets by 2030. Shortly after that older fossil cars will start being heavily taxed and fuel will rise even more.
