I see two in particular for people like us: (1) knowing what you know, you choose to resist in whichever way you can, or (2) you somehow assume the role of the manipulative, callous janissary.
Path (1) might involve trying to wake people up, disconnecting from the system, or any number of things that allow you to try (fruitlessly albeit) to live in a way that isn’t conditioned entirely by the madness of the system. Path (2), on the other hand, would entail that you occupy a position in society that allows you to inflict your hatred onto the NPC, effectively giving them what you know they ultimately deserve and, funnily, what they seem to want. For path (2), you might join up with the police or become some kind of government official or scientist who drafts policies that will certainly lead to the abject suffering of millions.
The crushing realization of all this is that both paths ultimately lead nowhere. Choose whichever brings you the most satisfaction. I’m starting to lean toward (2).
