Did they flex on you or do you feel flexed on? What do you want? Of the dudes I went to high school with, only two are truly happy. One opened a shitty little dude-and-a-truck business years ago before Toronto became a hideout for international fugitives, started transporting rich arab and chinese crooks' supercars up to Muskoka, makes a lot of money, went back and married the hottest girl in school at 16, whose life was on the rocks at 28, and he's just utterly pleased with his piece of the pie. The other dude was handed a nuclear power consulting gig by his dad, invested in bitcoin because he thought "woah this would be good for nuclear power and vice versa", and now has a lambo and a mcmansion and he's a fat little thumb and his wife is a fat little thumb with enormous tits and he has two cute kids and he drives the lambo to wasaga beach like he dreamed of when he was 16. Everyone else feels trapped and lacks that capacity to feel blessed, even if they're comfortable. Would you feel blessed with an american job and an american wife and two american kids? Life is a messy business.

Have you ever figured out what you want to try? Don't beat yourself up. Nobody ever dreamed of becoming a product manager. My doctor was talking to me yesterday about his malaise. He's 62 and it was school in Egypt to be a doctor, then gas station attendant here in Canada until he could recertify, then it was roaming around wherever doctors were needed here until he made it to Burlington, which is rated as one of the world's best places to live, so reasonably aspirational, and he's still doing the same things and building a property that he envied back in Egypt when he was a kid. And his kids don't really care, they can't figure out what they want to do. If you've got a restless heart this is a nightmare world to be living in. Everyone has something they like a bit more than everything else though. I'm getting closer to figuring out what it is for me. You have time still to figure out what that might be for you.
