Oh, by the way, I have discovered that the standard past tense of pet is petted but I am doubting how common that is. I've only ever said pet, and the same goes for pretty much everyone I know. Or at least those who I've heard say pet in the past tense. Which is perhaps not actually that many. Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah, my girlfriend. She is so sweet... So Slush, do you say petted or pet? Would you say you pet your cat recently, or that you petted her? Actually it does not matter. Either way I still love you.
