>>15208248I actually get calls and emails from recruiters 2-5 times a week just by setting my LinkedIn profile to "casually looking." I just started taking the calls instead of deleting the messages because I liked the ego boost, then I was like "honestly I do almost nothing most days." Talked to my wife about it and we agreed that hey, try it, and if you don't like it just quit. No one owes these fucking companies anything. So I have, and it's been about six months. I am now debt free, maxing out two 401ks, maxing out my IRA, and putting 2k a month in my kids' college accounts while my RSUs vest. If I can do this for another 54 months I will retire at 45. Tonight, Grandma is taking the kids so I'm going out to a nice restaurant with the wife. I can't lie, some days are busy and hard - this week I had to deliver a product update on an AWS migration to the CTO and it's a complete shitshow (mostly not my fault, but stressful). But most days I go to stand up, dick around in Jira, go to a few more meetings, jerk off, take a nap, go out to lunch, go to another stand up and fuck around in another Jira, and then go make dinner for the family.
