One of the biggest copes in history, especially given how many Jews fought for Germany, which the Nazi government later suppressed knowledge of, including that 35,000 were awarded - 18,000 of whom received the Iron Cross - for courageously serving Germany. 80% (80,000) served directly on the front lines. They lost WWI because they were eventually ground down in a war of attrition, not due to any sort of lack of support from anyone in the populace, Jews or otherwise.
The stab in the back was how Hitler treated Jewish WWI veterans. They were spared from some of the anti-Jewish laws at first, but were eventually completely betrayed.
