I find it endearing when girls enjoy eurovision even though here we don't really care much... especially guys...
In the 50s and 60s though it was a national craze.
We used to send real artists who sang in Portuguese and had genuinely great songs and were hedgy.
The desfolhada (de-flowering) one in the 60s was particularly great.
It was a song about the toil of people / peasants in agricultural fields mixed with peasant love (not sex) but had this verse...
