We start with the carefree MC, son of a noble that took a part of civil war. The country that they are in might be comparable to ancient Macedonia where the charismatic young king fights for it's place in the world.
As the story starts the MC ends up grounded for killing some peasant. His fathers sends him to administer some old mine to teach him a lesson. Some time passes and...
As he is bored to tears his brother arrives telling him that the King is returning from the peace talks with the eastern empire, and so everyone is invited to the northern port city for a welcoming feast. And so they go.
