Once I was watching a documentary about South Africa. The question was "Did racism disappear after the Dutch left and blacks took over?" and the answer suggested by the program was "Nope, blacks started being racist towards each other".

what? im sure there are ethnic conflicts there, just like there's been ethnic conflicts in ireland and scotland between the irish and scottish despite both being celtic, white western europeans and despite scotland basically being irelands protestant-convert son, but the bulk of the conflict in south africa right up until the 90s was between white and black

i was thinking more about the borderline genocide of the khoikhoi and things like that

it's not like the dutch today are responsible for the actions of their great great grandparents, so there's no point in being defensive of the dead. although itd be nice if colonial figures in the netherlands along with the british isles stopped being glorified as much

Which documentary was this?South South Africa was never a Dutch colony.
