The Book of Judges, on the other hand, is full of bloody battles, raping, and murder. It's one of the trashiest, most pulp fiction-like parts of the Bible. It's relatively short, in comparison to the Pentateuch, the Book of Chronicles, or the Gospels, but it's perfect for anybody who wants to read something from the Bible other than thousands of Jewish laws and parables about how God punishes sinners and rewards those who go to ridiculous lengths to express their profound reverence for his greatness.
