What did Jesus tell his followers before he was crucified? What was his last message to his followers before his arrest?

He said,
>“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. ... I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the Father but through me.

He suffered despite his innocence, the wickedness of the world and it's hatred for the truth was poured out onto him. He took the punishment we deserve for our sins onto himself and he did it so that we may be saved through him because he loves us.

What is the logic in rejecting the love of Christ?
