is wanting to live off grid just maladaptive daydreaming so i don't have to deal with the issues in my own life, or am i right to want to leave a place that rejects me wholly, and chase happiness on my own terms?

is it also possible to discover your own worth no matter what environment you are in, or does your social environment impact how highly you choose to view yourself? i feel as though i am attempting to escape the wickedness that weighs my life down.
