Anyone remember when "that" file format hit and HD videos suddenly became stream-able and downloadable on most internet connections at a fraction of the speed it would usually take for videos of that quality to download?

Yeah, me either. There was a mad scramble to control the format and stop "illegal streaming".

Would be a real shame if that kind of thing happened again...
