Since we've mapped most of the world's landmass and there are no new undiscovered frontiers, you can expect every country to cling to every bit of land that they own. Smaller countries are not going to be allowed to annex land by their larger neighbors - with or without demography. It doesn't serve the current balance of power now that we know land is a finite resource with regards to the market.
What you're probably going to find is that Pakistan's land - and that of many of the small states around the world - are going to be subsumed into one of its larger neighbors eventually, and its demographic either relocated, killed, or just bred out of existance by melting pot. It doesn't make sense for larger nations to continue respecting the right to exist of smaller nations, in truth, consolidation of land and resources by more affluent neighbors is a natural part of human history.
It serves the status quo and global banking that these smaller states exist - you can't have a first world standard without preserving a lot of third world shitholes, since any market pyramid is 90% bottom-heavy and its nice if the bottom is 5,000 miles away across an ocean.
But even having said that, the one thing you're not going to get any more of now that the market is tightening is the international community acknowledging that you have a right to new lands and resources, or a right to exist. Those rules are about to go out the window as things get harder and harder for the next 50 years.
