If we talk about the architecture and the historic legacy, I think that Paris is the most beautiful city on earth. You won't be disappointed by the museums and every history-related thing.
But keep in mind that insecurity is rising, and it's not getting better anytime soon with Macron becoming president. Be careful if you take the subway or any form of public transport.
