It's also important not to blend it too much before adding milk, as it is at risk of melting

I added about 1/2 ~ 2/3 of a glass of milk to ~ a bowl of blended frozen strawberry

When I said "large blender", I really meant it. I cannot guarantee that a handheld blender will suffice, and it might even be dangerous to use one.
You absolutely -must- use a stationary blender for this! And even then, it also depends on the thickness of the blades!
