People have more time on their hands and they work more, because subtracting 2 hours of prep and commute time and adding 1 hour of work time means you work more but also have more time.
My company instituted a 3 days/wk back in the office policy. But I had moved during the pandemic. I told them I’m not coming back if they require me to come in. The said ok and nothing happened.
The ceo requesting to fire all employees who don’t wish to come in for a tech/office job is regarded. This will strain managers who have good employees who don’t want to come back it. Those managers will grow resentful as their teams suffer because those good employees can move on elsewhere.
Unless you are fixing toilets, pulling teeth or something like that, coming into the office is a retarded waste of time when we have internet. By all means, put on a tie and sit in traffic every morning if you want. But that doesn’t change the fact that you are supremely retarded for driving to an office to get on the phone.
