But none of that changes the fact that autists are deeply, deeply sick. And sick in some of the most profoundly damaging and dangerous ways. I would go so far as to say that a "high functioning" autist may very well be the most dangerous mental illness in our society.
Look at every mass shooter. They all have high functioning autism. It's common to say "they were all on SSRIs!" yea because that's a common treatment for high functioning autism.
Also most of the lower functioning, "retarded" or borderline retarded autists are harmless. Or close to harmless.
"high functioning autists" are completely devoid of human empathy. You take that and mix it with a complete, pathological misunderstanding of human nature, human social interactions and human society. Mix it further with this profound acquired (and totally unwarranted) sense of superiority that autists get about themselves and what you have, effectively, is a fucking killing machine. Someone who, even if they're too cowardly to actually carry out the act, daydreams all day everyday about committing mass murder. I've NEVER met a high functioning autist who didn't daydream every day about committing mass murder.
Every. Day. Every. One.
That's this entire website. You're all high functioning autists. And note that when I say "high functioning" it only means you have an average or close to average IQ. Most autists have significantly lower than average IQs. "High functioning" autists are ones with IQs above 70
