I went to see a orchestral concert this afternoon with my wife and we were pretty much the only people there who wasn't related to the students on stage. In a concert fall that could seat 2300 people, there were less than 100 attending.

A couple of days before that we went to go and see a concert held by the cities philharmonic orchestra and the seats were 2/3 empty. and those who did turn up were old as fuck. It was a sea of grey, doddering old fucks who didn't know the words to half of the songs on the program.

Tickets are not expensive. 5 pounds/6.50 dollars for the student performance today, and 32 pounds/40 dollars each for the one we went to see on Friday.

For context. The average price of a ticket to go and see Beyonce is 150 pounds/190 dollars.
