I spend about $3000 a year in healthcare premiums which really doesn't get me much because anytime I have to use it I have to use up my deductible of $7500 first, then up to $12000 at 20% co-insurance. Thats how healthcare works in the US. You can only use doctors in your health insurance network, you have to get permission from your healthcare company to get many procedures done, you don't actually get any benefit until you saturate your deductible.

My fellow retard, I had to wait 4 hours in a hospital lobby while my skull was broken and bleeding just to get an x-ray.
My mom had to wait 6 months to know how bad her cancer is and to get medicine, and in the meantime it spread to her other organs and bones. She still doesn't know the stage, but we're guessing it's terminal.
Public healthcare is a fucking failure.

Like I said, far better than a system where you have to ask permission of a company to spend money covering you. I couldn't get a fucking surgery for my arm because some doctor who works for the insurance company who doesn't actually get to evaluate me says that my surgery isn't medically necessary and ibuprofen with physical therapy is far better. They just don't want to pay for it. Meanwhile I can't fucking work and the meager disability benefits doesn't pay for anything.

You definitely didn't get an X-ray if you didn't have a referral to a specialist or you actually when to a UC or the ER.
Also your insurance is actually GOOD if it picks up the bill with just a copay. Most Americans don't have Copay type plans. Most americans have preferred network plans where a health insurance company won't cover your shit if you don't go to a place on their approved list.

No there really isn't. If you don't have health insurance many places will turn you away for non-immediate, non-life threatening shit. You can't make any hospital give you treatment including public ones. Even with Medicare, most americans don't qualify because the income ceiling is so low you basically have to be disabled with no job to get it.
