>>15467384Externally - lizards have a solid skull and jaw, so they can't swallow huge things like snakes, the whole body is much more rigid than that of a snake so they can't bend and coil as freely, and the general body shape is pretty different, most snakes have a thinner "neck" before the head and lizards do not. Snakes' eyes are actually covered by transparent scales and they don't blink, lizards' eyes are not covered and they do blink. Also lizards can drop their tails.
