Let me get this straight. You're willing to kill people over metal detectors, but cameras with facial recognition and shit are just fine? What was the point of all that? Some symbolic bullshit about metal detectors which were designed to keep you safe inside a holy site. Why wouldn't you want something to stop people from murdering other people at a holy site?
