off-topic threads there are always ignored and the mods don't even bother banning the shitposter most of the time from what i've seen at least. The mods just don't have to bother because the issue always takes care of itself. Any other board people will just immediately take the bait no matter how dumb the shitpost and keep it on page 1 until the mods are forced to take action.
