Americans just want a fucking Trigun reboot/prequel/sequel because Americans are fucking obsessed with sequels no matter how fucking pointless it is. The same people who are like "omg new FLCL" are the same sacks of shit who will eat up anything Star Wars simply because Star Wars is attached to it.
I guarantee the only reason Trigun's getting this god awful prequel in the first place is because some balding nu-male or some blue-haired freak climbed the corporate ladder of his favourite ironic weeaboo streaming service and thought "You know what would be cool? If we dug up this dead anime IP I grew up with and produced more if it!" To fucking hell with letting sleeping dogs lie or actually giving a sequel/reboot/remake to a franchise that actually needs one, or even pitching a new original IP instead of butchering an old one.
