>>15573632You are off a bit on some details. I was in the Art bell Post to Post threads back then and was active in the 2 main threads John Titor posted in. Prior to going onto Post to Post he had posted on the Time Travel Institute (TTI) discussion boards. TTI was 2000. Post to Post was early 2001.
He did weave a story of being from 2036 and even posted images said to be of his time travel device, a page of the manual and a laser light bend image.
He went from 2036 to the early 70's for a model 5100/5110 model IBM computer that unknown to people of the 2k time, could be tweaked to translate old programming languages to newer more known ones. The idea being that the 2038 unix bug was similar to the y2k one. It was his grandfather who he said he contacted at IBM. After the posts stopped and some time after really someone got an old engineer from IBM to admit it was not a public documented ability of those computers but it was true.
Titor never said anything about 9/11 aside from what could be inferred at a stretch. He did heavily imply he helped stop the y2k bug.
So from the early 70's he hopped to 1998 and met his mom, dad and young self. He did not tell them at first who he was in relation but warmed up to it.
This was in Florida btw for his family and location. Near Orlando.
The civil war for him started in 2005/06 and escalated to hot war. It may have been 2010 that it came to a conclusion with world countries just being tired of war.
The time device itself was made by GE. It had a max range of 60 years with a 3% divergence from his own time.On return that gap would narrow but not be a net 0%, but real real close.
He presented worldline theory to explain how it worked.
One prediction made was that a Higgs Boson (CERN) would be found and was a key to time travel and has all to do with a micro blackhole for the gravity part to the device.
