i like 4chan's anonymity and i don't like the idea of echo chambers, which is what online communities turn into if they run out of outside conflicts (raiding, getting raided, new "memes", influx of outsiders etc.) -- we had all of that on /qa/, we have it here on /bant/, on discord it wouldn't work

Nobody knows who did the raid but /qa/ took the blame. The raid was especially bad compared to any of the ones before and it being done to /lgbt/ of all boards probably played a part.

what >>15576211 said is true, there are conspiracies behind who started the raid (whether it was /qa/, the sharty or someone falseflagging)

if you don't know there's an imageboard for soijaks made by a guy for /qa/ which is closely related to /qa/

it did happen all the time, the aforementioned raid was nothing special compared to post-/qa/-deletion raids like picrel

the raid was an excuse, if they had a problem with it the would've banned everyone and wiped half of /qa/'s catalog, which would already happen multiple times a week
