How do I get into a relationship with christ. I wanna love him

I believe in him, I know he died on the cross for all of us. I just keep on sinning, I know im not perfect. Women are my weakness. I love them more than I love Christ. Ill just put it like that.

How do I begin to start loving christ and have relationship with him? I want to. But I suck.

Matthew is a great literal account. Then I'd go to John and then Romans and later Galatians.

Pray before reading and take your time.

Avoid modern translations, read the KJV but if you're struggling with the KJV the NASB199 is better than many of the newer ones at least, from what I've heard.

My favourite Gospel-book is the Gospel of St. John though.

This is one of the most important, lifechanging things I've ever discovered
I even bought a physical audio bible so I can play it without my cellphone as its own thing

LISTEN TO SCRIPTURE
Have it on while you play a game, while you make dinner
pause and rewind it
pray while you listen to it
Think about it
write your thoughts down

I started with Proverbs because it seemed very easy and approachable.
Psalms is good but can be better when you have more relationship with God.
The Gospels are wonderful and sometimes very important to hear Christ's preaching and to remember the importance of faith in Him as healing you.
Romans to Jude are also very good listening, like sermons or podcasts almost.
I suggest listening to the New Testament in order. When they reference something in the OT, you can go back and listen to that too.

Like listen to Jonah, Jonah is a fantastic book. Remember that the people in the Bible, even the ones God chooses, are not meant to be perfect. Look at Peter the apostle, and relate to him.

Anon he still loves you no matter what. That's the power of God. God is love. Something no one will ever understand. Despite being guilty sinners, deserving of judgement, and undeserving of His love, He loves us anyway. Not only does he show us mercy (not getting what you deserve) he gives us Grace. ( Getting something you don't deserve) He is not only our Lord, God, Saviour, Creator, he is out loving daddy. You may do things that stricken your relationship with him but I assure you He does not love you any less. You may have to suffer consequences because of your actions but any good daddy chastises his children. Your still saved though. In the book of Corinthians a man was having relations with his own Mom and Paul told the church to pray that God kills him so that his spirit will be saved. Yeah he was in a bad way but he was still going to heaven.

Get some grape juice and bread and pray over it, asking lord Jesus to turn it into his flesh and blood. So he may live in you and you in Him. Faith accomplishes miracles. This is one of the best ways to live in Jesus

The simple fact is, semen is produced by the male reproductive system and must be expelled. Jesus, if he was a male and lived 33 years, must have expelled his semen many times. That's just a fact - like it or not.

Most people would agree that ejaculation that occurs as the result of a dream is not sinful, so what few authors that have dared to broach this topic have gone with that (I'm thinking of Anne Rice's excellent "Christ the Lord: Road to Cana", which I highly recommend).

I agree that discernment isn't simply "a feeling" though it definitely can be a mode of communication of God, however, yes, discernment comes generally from just knowing the word. Sorry, I realize I should've looked longer up the chain of conversation. I agree that you can't ultimately rely on loose feelings to come to what is true.

That being said, there are people that have great discernment, filled with the spirit that don't know their Bibles in and out but know God well. Though maybe they're an exception and not the rule.

Of course they could. They could hear the word spoken, inspired by the Holy Spirit and know salvation.

There are best practices and if you can read the Word you definitely should.

But the payment for salvation was at the cross. The apostles wrote the new testament. They received salvation through witnessing the gospel. Not through reading the Word.

A true repentance of sin to God and a acceptance of his gift of salvation through his son Jesus Christ, is the only thing needed for salvation.

Books int he early few centuries after Christmas death and resurrection were expensive items.

I do not doubt that each one of these early churches had 1 or more copies of it, even the gentile ones.

But to believe they could all read it (high illiteracy) or had the time necessary to study (busier surviving) is a little bit of a stretch.

They had pastors that did sermons. This enables them to hear the inspired word, but they all did not necessarily read it themselves or had the luxury to.

Just like he chose his apostles, God still chooses you and you can either accept the calling or reject it. But once you've known his grace, it's impossible to go back. Sure, you may sin again like David did so many times despite having known God so intimately, but he still lived for him.
