When I was younger, I would sometimes notice girls looking at me and then averting their gaze, I would always assume that they thought I looked weird or were otherwise taking the piss. Sometimes when I meet new people at a job or something, they always assume that I'm married and have children. Friends wives and girlfriends have told me that I'm actually quite good-looking, and things started to make sense, perhaps I'm not the horror show I thought I was, but this didn't happen until I was in my late 20s. I wonder what might have been if I'd realised sooner.
I know what you mean about just being left alone, do you enjoy your own company?
