>>15664561I've done it multiple times, the full 'three deep inhales and hold', it's always scary, especially as it hits you, which is near instant, but that - at least for me - wears off as you're catapulted into wonderland, and the afterglow once the trip has worn off is one of, if not the most, pleasant thing I've ever experienced.
Also have had insane trips doing mushrooms right after DMT, I'm not sure if they affect each other once DMT has worn off but anecdotally that was my most intense mushroom trip.
I haven't listened to or read any Mckenna in years but I mean Mckenna was not doing things the ordinary way with the ordinary mindset lol, neither was I but yeah it's difficult to describe - there are 'entities' there and they are insectoid, I've been trying to figure that one out for years. The first thing that will strike you is how odd your hands look, like they're not your hands, like the notion that you're a body reverts to a dissociative infantile state. I think it's always going to be a bit idiosyncratic, depends how you interpret things, what your level of psych naught experience is, how much you're engaged with philosophy or whatever. But yeah simply put it's no joke it's as insane as people describe.
Also it's quite different doing it outside during the day, compared to inside at night. The whole world changes, many things look different and many things don't, almost like your brain has been blocking it out and you're seeing things as they are - but these hotly debated topics in cognitive science, there's no way to impart the experience on to you with just theory .
