Boomers love to blame young peoples economic woes on their purchasing of these newfangled smartphones, idevices, anime figurines, and avocado toast. Whenever a young person complains about the ever-rising cost of living, inflation, and/or stagnant wages, some boomer always feels the need to fart and shart about how back in '72 he flipped burgers one summer for just $3.25 an hour and that it was enough to pay for his college tuition, books, and room & board. The part of his inspiring story that he always conveniently leaves out is that in 1972, $3.25 had more purchasing power than $20.00 does today.
tl;dr: Ignore boomers
