Whenever I see someone posting a message about inches, yards, miles and other retarded medieval units, I feel like rolling my eyes.

Why do the glorious United States of America choose to keep using a dated , medieval and impractical system of units? Makes them look like they were retarded to be honest, and it's an overall embarrassment. SPECIALLY when they are talking about things that involve science and engineering. Being the worst, when they start talking about fractions of inches in blueprints, and gauge and other retarded units to express things that require high precision (like tolerances).

I really would like to know when the US will finally join the rest of the world instead of using a medieval system based on things like kernels of barley and sizes of feet....
