Quick career change

No.15696947 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Short and dry - I’m 27 and thinking about jumping into a phlebotomy program real quick. I majored in comp sci but didn’t finish more than 2.5 years cause of money. Couldn’t even get an associate cause the uni I went to doesn’t award one. Fucking scam and poor decision but anyway.

I’ve been doing desktop support and help desk jobs and now I’m in another area where it’s mostly labor and shit tier wagie jobs, where I’m a wagie. All the schools here are just trade and nursing programs.

Is anyone a (male) phlebotomist that can comment on their experience? It’s a short and cheap program and I’m seeing I can probably start near $20/hr more or less which I’m fine with I’m a single ascetic type guy. But I just want to make more than the $12 I do now, pay off my scam uni debt, and be able to secure my financial future.

Also I (unfortunately) have the J&J jab (no boosters and I’m not looking to get them) so I’m hoping that’s sufficient to at least get in and not get fired for refusing vaxes in the future
