/qa/ served an important purpose in that you could go there and find out what was happening to 4chan at that given moment, slowdowns, happenings, etc.
locking it was retarded because now there's no real meta board on 4chan and also all the soijackers just went to other boards. Soiposting has increased since /qa/ was locked, not decreased. Despite the mods best efforts.
