I do have some lingering symptoms (long covid) tho, like I am more tired than I used to be etc.

Year ago I had the regular flu and developed bronchitis from it. This fucked my lungs long term, now I have intermittent asthma and am especially sensitive to respiratory infections. The flu was never going to kill me but it's permanently damaged my health. Do you people think that Covid doesn't do the same?

And as far as the efficacy of vaccines go, I'll hear any argument against them but only from people who can demonstrate that they know more about medical science that my father and sister, both of him are physicians who have had all their shots.

To answer your question, though, I’m not afraid of catching it. I have a decent immune system and rarely get sick. I have the vaccine and 2 boosters not because I’m afraid, rather because I want to aid in curbing the spread and mutation of a virus that has the potential to become more lethal over years. Having an inert form of the virus injected into me so that my body can develop anti-bodies doesn’t cause me to shit my pants as any side effects of the vaccine would likely be the same side effects I’d have if I caught the virus, which seems pretty likely given it’s ability to spread.
