the oldest samples of e1b and j2b in europe are from the balkans. proto slavs would not have carried e1b or j2b. r1b is a steppe haplogroup that spread with the indo europeans. during the migration era slavs brought some celtic r1b into the balkans, however this is not at all found in serbia only in croatia and bosnia. the r1b lineages of serbs, are all paleo balkan derived. all j2b-l283 in serbs is paleo balkanic all except 1 e1b clade is paleo balkanic with the exception being a saxon clade brought in the medieval period
