Not only is it still unclear whether the crying child is the player character in FNAF 4 (some have theorized that it is Michael Afton), their specific identity is currently unknown. Their exact fate after being bitten at the end of the game is also currently known, leaving some to speculate that the child later became Golden Freddy (this is largely unsupported by the fandom) or that they are the ghost haunting the FNAF Survival Logbook (speaking to his brother Michael).
The line "I will put you back together" also has yet to be explained in FNAF media. Was the child rebuilt as a robot? Did they die as a result of the bite? These are questions that keep me up at night.
