My family hates me for some reason, they shoot down every idea I have ever had. A recent example of this is when I said "I want to go to MIT" and my dad immediately replied "You'll never make it" which kind of made me sad, only until recently did I realize that their opinions do not matter to me... Does anyone else here have similar experiences of parents shooting down ideas?
