Actually the score does matter. The IELTS is score-based and I need around a 6-6.5, which is roughly the equivalent to a B2 level.

Also, anyone got good tips to learning languages? I can't travel but I do have access to books. I currently speak English and Spanish, I can read Japanese (but forgot how to speak it... it's been 4 years).

Well I can't help you there, I am from Poland and I really did not need to learn pronounciation of letters in foreign languages I learned, because I always had some simmiliar ones in my alphabet

Yes basically, focus more on it than learning grammar rules, you will see in Russian for example one word may have very many forms depending on a lot of things, but just saying its basic form will let you at least communicate

1. Learn proper pronunciation before you start with vocabulary, you don't want to sound like a retard. Listen to natives speaking even if you don't understand shit. Movies, TV shows and Youtube are good starting points. And for fucking fuck's sake, learn how to properly pronounce the R if you're learning Spanish.
2. Learn enough basic vocabulary to start studying grammar. Don't try to memorize a fuckton of words right away, just a handful of words to help you grasp the grammar concepts.
3. Once you know the basic grammar you can start reading increasingly difficult texts to widen your vocabulary.

Can't recommend any textbook, but I definitely recommend that you don't stick to only one book/web/whatever. No resource is perfect, so will want to double check to make sure what you're learning is correct.
The funny thing is that I too want to learn Russian. I'm moving there for five months in a couple of weeks and still haven't started because I'm a lazy fuck, so let me know if you know of any good resource.

Eastern Euro is much cheaper in general, I know lots of people who went to the Czech Republic. Lots of Spanish people go there to apparently

I like Hellsign TV show better, it had a comfy feel. Hellsign Ultimate is fucking boring. It has good animation and good action, but I'm not 12 so I didn't find it that fun. If you like that shit you'll love it though

April wasn't terrible, good animation and decent OST, but too repetitive and melodramatic for my taste
