How does the Coriolis effect work when you say that the whole atmosphere and everything in it spins perfectly with the ball? You change the reference frames all the time, and you change the nature of these imaginations constantly, depending on the current argument. Gravity is a strong force in the one argument, then it's a weak force in the other.
