>>15814981>>388562752Android and ChromeOS are the only UI-driven Linux operating systems that matter at the normie scale, unless you're talking a server for a website or an app (or an embeddable device like a router).
MacOS and iOS are similarly the only UI-driven BSD Unix operating systems that matter at the normie scale, again unless talking a server or embeddable device.
Most normies just can't be bothered with the time, effort, and learning curve to achieve the necessary technical literacy to truly do anything of much significance on Linux beyond the UI-driven tools made available to them, and they are unwilling to put in this work even if it offers them far superior security, stability, speed, flexibility, customization, reprogrammability, etc.
If normies can't easy mode the functionality of everything they need top to bottom, they don't want the problem.
Windows, Apple's OS's, and Google's OS's all obfuscate these scary confusing problems away in a dumbed-down UI that serves the demands of most normies while quietly (and not-so-quietly) exposing their user data for profit.
