If you want to be productive, be productive, but be aware if someone is defining your productivity, you're not living in a community. Communities find a rhythm. You're spinning plates for an invisible audience, and when they fall, a spotlight appears on you, and a giant comical timer starts ticking, and you have a limited window to get them spinning again or you face unpersoning. Bad news is many things, and should be considered from as many angles as possible. Just don't think there's an easy answer.
