However, their neighbor, Haiti, has terrible environmental issues that you could see dirt and trash floating through the ocean. Haiti barely has trees because they cut all of it since their independence. Now they are crossing to the DR to cut down their trees that can hurt the entire island environmentally.
Man-made floods and droughts, raising lake that swallowed a Dominican town and almost drown a pathway for trucks could hurt both the Haitians and the Dominicans. This is why I'm was thinking that the DR could be self-reliant on both agriculture and industries, mostly transportation and weaponry. And I hope that Medina has a plan to invade Haiti because the country can't even function as a country.
