I feel most of these anime out of context videos miss the point. You are supposed to make the anime seem like it is something different due to missing context. Just posting the jokes from the anime that would make sense regardless of the context doesn't do it.

I kinda agree. I used to only watch subs if i could help it but watching the ranma dub really changed my mind on this, you can tell they put alot of time into getting it right and i think it clicks especially well because the same company that did the dub also published the manga in the west which was my first experience of the series. Also there are some "big" names in it like the woman who voiced spike in mlp etc so thats fun
Amatuerish dubs can be fun too though and if you feel like you're missing something you can always turn subs on at the same time

a lot of the time though i get bored of listening to the same 12 texans
at least in japanese i don't notice the same-voice

I watched this comedic hentai called Ogenki Clinic and I watched the third episode of it in English dub and I thought the comedy was better than when I had watched it with English subtitles.

I started doing this but only with older anime. My main reasoning is I missed that feeling of renting anime at Blockbuster and watching anime on Adult Swim, Anime Unleashed, Toonami, SciFi AniMonday, etc.
