7 years ago anime was the site's culture. Pepe/jakkers and /tv/ memers were viewed as newfag tourist and invaders. They were universally despised and were told to fuck off to where they came from (reddit, facebook, 9gag). Cut to 2021 and its pretty much the excact opposite. All the oldfags left and were replaced by 'jak/frog posters and /tv/ memers, most of whom came to this website because of gamergate and 2016 only for a new group underage newfags to flood to the website and spam reaction images from the latest trendy slice of life show. Most of them came here from youtube channels like mox and screencaps of gay ironic weeb shit from r9k that are posted on social media. They are now universally despised and are told to fuck off back to where they came from (reddit, twitter, discord). I guess things really do come in cycles.
