the casus belli wasn't about jews. but i happen to think the massive escalation from a regional war to a world war was all about jews and due to jews. where schools lie in my opinion is the implication that among the allied nations, it was a popular war with people demanding their nations go and rescue the jews and subdue nazi germany. i think people were dragged kicking and screaming into it, like how i'd be dragged kicking and screaming into a war with russia over the preservation liberal world order or something
we never learned about the jews at all in school actually. i remember one time i amusedly told a group of my collegemates, one of them a jewess, my recent funny discovery that the albanian word for jew was the same as our word for "kike". didn't think anything of doing that at all. jews were just another ethnic group you could tell jokes about at the time, like armenians or gypsies.
